Tadoba National Park is situated in the Chandrapur district of Maharashtra it is very famous tiger reserve in Maharashtra and all over the country

Thousands of tourists visit Tadoba every year it was established in year 1955 .it is 150 km away from the nagpur city you can reach here by bus or by private vehicle

The total area of Tadoba National Park is 1727 sq.km out of which only 20 percent area is allowed for the tourist to explore

Tadoba name history

The name tadoba was derived from the word ‘ taru ‘ Taru is a local god and it is praised by the people in this area it is said that taru fights with tiger when he was inside the jungle and the word andhari is derived from the name of the river which flows in this area

Timings to visit

You can do a safari inside this national park within different 2 slots Timings are

Morning :-  06 to 10 am
Afternoon timing :- 02 pm to 06 pm

Tadoba areas

Tadoba National Park is divided into areas ie. Core area and buffer area

Core area :- an area that is inside the jungle and accessible to the tourist only
Buffer area :- an area which is accessible to the tourist as well as locals

In both of the areas you can see the tigers

Tadoba gates

Tadoba has many gates to enter out of them Kolara Gate and Moharli Gate are the most famous gates
At Kolara Gate there is a 90% chance that you can see the tigers every time you visit so I would suggest you to visit Kolara Gate if you are planning to visit Tadoba National park

Near entry gates there are many resorts where you can stay and enjoy your trip inside nature’s lap

How to book a safari

To book a safari you have to visit the Maharashtra Forest Department website and then you can book your slots for the safari at Tadoba National Park
